Someone with a need for information, where you can supply very efficiently, is looking for it online right now. So, throw away your fears and start writing your articles so that Internet users can find them. When you write your articles, you must make sure it has six of the following points included in the content.
1) Use short paragraphs.
When assembling your articles make sure you divide them in short paragraphs. If you publish them as one big chunk, there is a high possibility that no one will be reading them. It will be jumbled up on the site and becomes so in the minds of the readers. Let your article flow through many paragraphs giving readers a space to rest their eyes. There is no set rule on how big or small a paragraphs should be, but make sure it is in a range that lets the reader feel comfortable reading.
2) Make use of numbers or bullets.
Besides the paragraphs, make sure you also use bullet points that will even make your articles beautiful. The reader will grasp the content so easily as the content is in a manner that is easy to remember. If you are writing about tips or suggestions, there is no better way than putting them in bullet points or numbers. They are easy to follow and remember as well. It is not advisable to over-do them in an article, but using them one or two times will not be a problem at all.
3) Use Sub-headings to sub-divide your paragraphs in the page.
Using headings and sub-headings will guide the reader through the main points of the article. The main heading will always better be at the top. Then as ideas are added through the following paragraphs, it is better to use sub-headings to tell the reader that the idea is spreading out to other issues. Reading a sub-heading before reading the paragraph will prepare us to what is coming next in the content. This technique has a unique ability to retain the reader on the content as it makes them anticipate the next idea in the article.
4) Provide a good attention-grabbing title or header.
Attention span has been hugely reduced on the Internet. Part of the problem is the features on the website itself. Any given website will have graphics, video, ads, social media activities, links and so on. So, whenever a visitor lands on your site, it is already determined that they should be distracted from why they came for. You want them to read the article and take action, but you as well want them to click on ads so that you may get income. You want to subscribe them to your list and let them share your posts too. Too many distractions already set up. Try to remove as much distraction as possible from your site so that visitors may get what they came for. For this to happen, you must have a powerful attention grabbing title, graphic or video that attracts the visitor to your site. Once there, you must make sure there are no distracting factors that confuses the visitor.
5) Keep them interested from the start to the finish.
Keeping your visitors interested and engaging is not easy. They have already thought how much they should stay on your site, which is usually few seconds. Once they see that they can’t find what they are looking for, they are gone. So, make sure they can get what they came for and then try your best to engage them in some kind of interaction, like polls, questions and free downloads. The more visitors get what they want and are asked to interact, the longer they stay on your site doing lots of activities.
Your website should give your visitors a pleasurable experience so that they may bookmark it for repeat visits. They can even go beyond book-marking and end up referring their friends and colleges which will enhance its relevance.
6) Utilise facts and figures
Use factual information, like statistics, graphs, media reports and the likes on your articles so that readers may see you have made every effort to bring the best content. It is not good enough to mention that you have heard of a certain fact. You must do extra effort to get the facts from reliable media outlets and give it to your readers. You can make a vague statement that there is a “global warming” issue these days and move on to other issue without giving your reader any details. But it will be very wise of you if you show them some data, statistics or anything similar that gives them the best information.
Once you are equipped with these six tips and incorporate them in your articles, you are way close to see successful days where your website gets good rankings and readers become your fans.
