Call me a former editor, but I’m a huge fan of stellar additions at the last minute—always sure to meet the deadline in the nick of time.

The latest addition to the Brooklyn DIY Business Association Conference on June 26 is STFU, Parents creator “B,” who will contribute the “DIY Content Strategy” panel on June 26.

STFU, Parents is a submission-based “public service” blog that mocks parent overshare on social networking sites. It was created in March 2009 and is an entertainment destination for thousands of daily readers.

This is B

The site serves as a guide for parents on what not to post about their kids as well as a forum for non-parents to vent about their TMI-related frustrations. The blog covers a range of topics, from placenta smoothies to lessons in potty training to bouts with puberty, and never aims to be hateful or mean-spirited. So come to gawk, and stay to laugh.

B. is a 29-year-old lady (though her mother questions this title) who lives in Brooklyn, with her boyfriend and their two cats Agnes and Duke. She spends her days writing, blogging, talking to her television and hovering over Twitter like a helicopter mom whose child just bit into an inorganic apple. She loves getting to know the STFUP community and is happy that her blog attracts intelligent, funny people who never write “FIRST!” in the comments section. She does not have kids, but hopes to one day.
